We may also share with third parties aggregate non-personal information about visitors to our website without restriction as to use. In these situations, we do not authorize those parties to use your personally identifiable information for any other purpose. We may disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe the law requires such disclosure, in response to law enforcement requests, or as necessary to protect the property, interests and rights of Universal Windows & Doors, its affiliates and others. In the event all or a portion of the assets owned or controlled by Universal Windows & Doors are sold, assigned, transferred or acquired by another company, both personally identifiable information and aggregate non-personal information from and/or about our customers may be among the transferred assets.
For your privacy and security, your account is protected by a password. To prevent unauthorized access to your account and personal information, you should take care to protect your password. We maintain your information on a secure server. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
